Annual Review vs Fulfilment Evaluation

You may have gathered from a previous article about Annual Reviews, that I have fairly strong opinions on career fulfilment and being valued and appreciated at work, and the importance of our values regarding success for our life in general.

Gallup conducted a study a few years ago, the results of which shock me intensely – Apparently only 20% of people genuinely enjoy their careers! 20%! If you think how many hours we spend working, whether it be our actual paid job or other significant roles such as parenting, caring, volunteering etc, we are spending by far the greatest part of our life doing things we don’t enjoy.
